💼 About the Internship
This 22–24 week internship begins in January 2026 and is designed for students in the final year of their Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Dual degree programs in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related fields, graduating in 2026.
As an Application Engineering Intern, you’ll be part of the engineering team that builds, deploys, and supports internal applications at Google. You will solve complex technical challenges, develop scalable solutions, and integrate third-party software into existing systems—all while working in a collaborative, global environment.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Develop internal solutions with custom front-end (web/mobile) and back-end services that automate business workflows.
- Maintain high development standards—technical design, clean modular code, testing, and documentation.
- Work with analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Integrate third-party products into internal systems, support upgrades, and ensure smooth deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize and improve internal business processes.
- Troubleshoot issues, innovate scalable solutions, and contribute to operational tools development.
✅ Eligibility & Skills
Minimum qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language
- Strong communication skills in English
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Java or C++
- Familiarity with algorithms, systems software, SQL, Spring, API development, RESTful/SOAP Web Services, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Availability to work full-time for 6 months (outside university term time)
