As a Software Engineer in the Azure Storage DPU Infrastructure team, you will contribute to building advanced storage backend systems, enabling seamless deployment, upgrades, and integration with DPU-based storage nodes.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user requirements for features.
- Support design document preparation and help identify dependencies.
- Develop and implement code for features and services (with reusability in mind).
- Learn to break down complex work items into manageable tasks with estimations.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for monitoring services, diagnosing downtime issues, and executing recovery playbooks.
- Continuously explore new technologies and improvements to enhance availability, performance, and reliability at scale.
Qualifications & Skills
✅ Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in at least one programming language such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
🎯 Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science AND 1+ year experience in software engineering.
- OR a Master’s degree with proven coding experience.
- Strong foundation in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or backend development.
- Growth mindset with eagerness to learn, adapt, and innovate.
